Gary

Bass Guitar

Born & raised in Oklahoma, Gary‘s earliest musical influences were Roy Orbison, Elvis, The Kingston Trio & most notably The Beatles. He began playing rhythm guitar soon switching to bass guitar in bands during the mid-60’s British Invasion - the days when Top 40 AM radio ruled the airwaves. These cover bands of the late 60’s & early 70’s required proficiency in a variety of styles from Motown & soul to rock & pop, country & easy listening. Gary made a living for almost 10 years playing stages in Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, Minnesota & Arizona before giving up music as a full-time vocation. He moved to Denver in 1982; in 1997 the fire to play & perform again was rekindled and he has been musically active ever since. Bass influences: Paul McCartney, Tim Bogert, Jack Bruce, Roscoe Beck, Allen Woody, Oteil Burbridge, Kenny Gradney and Chris Squire.
